Corporate Web Editor/Designer
Nexen Technology Inc. is a global organization specializing in manufacturing, designing, and distributing battery solutions for portable devices (i.e. notebook, pda, digital camera, ipod, etc...). With our headquarters in Taiwan, we have offices in the U.S., Germany, and China, enabling us to support customers in over twenty countries.
This individual will support marketing efforts with design and branding initiatives by creating artistic deliverables for a variety of media. The designer will conceptualize the look and feel of our corporate presence and will see that through to the design and development of the corporate website and print materials. Projects will include web design and build, marketing brochures, print ads, and overall corporate identity and packaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and create graphics for marketing materials and collateral, PowerPoint presentations, brand-standard templates, proposals and newsletters/reports
- Design and develop Allegro’s website from conceptualization to deployment to be consistent with corporate identity and messaging
- Manage and maintain website content
- Works with copywriters to create continuity of design and content
This individual will be stationed at our offices in Irwindale, CA (15 minutes east of Pasadena on the 210). We provide a great PPO medical and dental plan, paid vacation for full time employees, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Strong design abilities and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Quark, InDesign and Illustrator and multimedia/web design
- Experience with HTML authoring tools, ASP .NET, Flash and Dreamweaver
- 4+ years graphic and web site design experience, including print production
- Bachelors or Associate Degree in Graphic Communication, Art, Design, Multimedia or related field, or combination of education and work experience
- Strong conceptual, design and communications skills
- Experience developing and designing in a standards-compliant environment across multiple media for B2B corporate content
- Experience researching and optimizing web search positioning
- Experience with Microsoft IISWeb 6.0 a plus
